2026年4月の概要
4月は、E-Houseにとって少し特別で意味のある月となりました。新しい学習環境の準備を進めながら、新しい生徒さんやご家庭を迎えることができました。
環境の変化には時間が必要ですが、生徒たちが自然に新しい場所に慣れていく様子を見ることができ、大変嬉しく感じています。落ち着いて安心できる環境は、子どもたちが学びに集中するための大切な要素です。すでに多くの生徒が心地よく過ごしてくれていることを嬉しく思います。
生徒の成長について
新しい学年の始まりでは、生徒それぞれに異なる形の成長が見られます。英語で発言することに勇気をもって挑戦している生徒もいれば、フォニックスの音（例えば s の snake や a の ant）をじっくり学んでいる生徒もいます。幼児クラスでは、「Ally Ant」や「Billy Bus」のように、ストーリーやイメージと結びつけながら音を学んでいきます。
フォニックスの最初のステップは一見単純に見えますが、将来、自分で読む力や自信をもって英語で表現する力につながる大切な基礎となります。子どもたちはそれぞれのペースで成長していきますが、継続的な学習環境が長期的な力を育てていきます。
指導において大切にしていること
この時期にレッスンを計画する際、特に大切にしているのはクラスの雰囲気や関係性をよく観察することです。カリキュラムが同じでも、クラスの構成は毎年少しずつ変化します。新しく参加する生徒もいれば、次のステップに進む生徒もいます。また、以前より成長し、自信を持って発言できるようになる生徒もいます。
そのため、レッスン内容は教材だけでなく、生徒同士の関わり方や反応を見ながら調整しています。以前は控えめだった生徒が、安心感を得て積極的に参加するようになることもあります。このような変化に応じて、レッスンの進め方に柔軟性を持たせています。
今月感じたこと
今月特に印象的だったのは、生徒たちが新しい教室に前向きな気持ちで戻ってきてくれたことです。多くの生徒が新しいことを学ぶことに興味を持ち、意欲的に取り組んでいました。
生徒が安心して学びに向き合える環境は、クラス全体に良い影響を与えます。そのような積み重ねが、個々の成長とクラス全体の学びの質につながっていくと感じています。
今後について
ゴールデンウィーク、そして春のイベントが近づいています。季節に合わせた活動は、英語をさまざまな場面で体験する機会となり、スクール全体のつながりを深めることにもつながります。
今年も多くのご家庭にご参加いただけることを願っています。共有された体験は、学習の継続性を支え、英語とともに楽しい記憶として残っていきます。
Overview of April 2026
April has been an unusual and meaningful month for us at E-House. Alongside preparing our new learning environment, we have also welcomed new students and families into our community.
Transitions take time, but it has been encouraging to see how naturally the students have adapted to the new space. A calm and secure environment helps children focus and feel ready to learn, and we are pleased to see that many students already feel comfortable here.
Student Progression
At the beginning of a new school year, progress can look different for each student. Some children are taking brave steps in using English more actively during lessons, while others are strengthening their understanding of phonics sounds such as s (snake) and a (ant). For our kindergarten students, these sounds are introduced through characters such as “Ally Ant” and “Billy Bus,” which support memory through story and association.
Early phonics learning may appear simple, but these small steps form the foundation for independent reading and confident communication later on. Each child moves forward at their own pace, and consistent exposure supports long-term development.
Teaching Decisions
At this time of year, I place particular importance on observing the group dynamics within each class. Even when the curriculum remains similar, the group itself may have changed. New students may have joined, others may have moved on, and returning students often show new levels of maturity and confidence.
Because of this, teaching decisions are not only based on materials, but also on how students interact, respond, and support one another. A child who was previously quiet may now feel more secure and ready to participate. These changes influence the balance between structure and flexibility within each lesson.
What I Observed
One of the most positive observations this month has been the students’ willingness to return to learning after the transition to the new school. Many showed curiosity and readiness to engage with new material.
When students approach learning with interest and confidence, it creates a constructive learning atmosphere for everyone in the classroom. This shared focus supports both individual progress and group development.
Looking Ahead
Golden Week is approaching, together with our Spring event. Seasonal activities provide opportunities for students to experience English in different contexts, while also strengthening the sense of community within the school.
We hope many families will be able to join us again this year. Shared experiences contribute to continuity in learning and help create positive memories connected to the language learning process.
